The Heiress (project 3 - part 9)

After my moment of clarity, I still had a bunch of images to figure out and/or improve. As my cover featured an earlier version of Olivia de Beaufort, which - to me - felt like a more convincing heiress, I had to make a few changes. Going through my summer sketchbook I found studies I’d done of this version of Olivia and decided to paint one for the cover.

I then thought more about the design of the book. I created a full book jacket, tried out different colour schemes for endpapers en made a title page to fit the design choices I’d made so far.

As I had started to rework paintings and images from my sketchbook digitally, I also used a lot of other scanned in materials such as textures and drawings.
