Project 3: The heiress

A young woman frequently visits her local zoo to draw. One day she returns home to find a stowaway in her rucksack. A small polar fox has managed to hide himself inside of it. The young woman decides not to return the polar fox to the zoo but to its birth ground: the arctic. The story is set around the 1920’s which means by doing so the young woman embarks an a big and perhaps dangerous adventure by ship.

After putting my initial ideas into my sketchbook I started further playing with several media. From paint and pencils/crayons, to monoprinting and eventually working fully digital in Photoshop. Though I do appreciate the outcome of my fully digital image, this is definitely not the way I want to go considering my personal goals for this summer.
