Inky monsters

After working on and off on my summer goals and trying to fully prepare myself for graduation, I felt a bit stuck.

I decided to take out some art materials that I hardly ever used and just play with them. This quickly resulted in pouring ink over pages in my sketchbook (as well as bigger pieces of paper) while moving the paper around to create a free flow of the watery substance. By adding some coloured pencil these inky blobs quickly turned into little monsters.

Then a few weeks later some of these monsters became an important source of inspiration for my fourth project: Midnight Monsters. It’s funny how the creative process sometimes works.
